Jenga was two years old on 11 November 2003. He was diagnosed as having polyneuropathy (PN) - an inherited degenerative nervous disorder - on 9 December 2003 and had tie back surgery for laryngeal paralysis (LP) the day after. A leg biopsy later confirmed the diagnosis.
